How do I update multicurrency exchange rates in QuickBooks 2010?

At any time, you can download the latest exchange rates from within QuickBooks. Downloading exchange rates is a free service that's included in QuickBooks. If you prefer to use your own exchange rates, you can manually enter those as well. To download the latest exchange rate, you must have an internet connection.

Download the exchange rates:

  1. Go to List, choose Currency List, select the Activities drop down and choose Download Latest Exchange Rates.
  2. QuickBooks will download the latest exchange rates. When the confirmation window opens after the download is complete, click OK.

Note: These exchange rates are downloaded from Wall Street On Demand.

Manually enter new exchange rates:

  1. Go to List, choose Currency List, select the currency you wish to edit and right click choose Edit Currency.
  2. In the Edit Currency window, select As of Date column,  click on the calendar icon and enter the date.
  3. Select the Exchange Rate column, enter the exchange rate you wish for the date you selected, and choose OK.
