Adobe® Acrobat Distiller, which comes with Acrobat PRO and other applications, will create Portable Document Format (PDF) files, but only if you are trying to create a PDF file from Postscript files.

If you try to create a PDF file from anything other than a Postscript file with Adobe® Acrobat Distiller, it will cause the program to stop responding. This behaviour is not limited to QuickBooks and affects other programs as well.

To save transactions and reports to PDF in QuickBooks, please follow these steps:

1. While viewing the transaction or report that you want to convert to PDF, choose Save as PDF from the QuickBooks File menu.

2. In the Save document as PDF window, type the name of the file in the File name window, and then select the location to save the file from the Save in drop-down list.

3. Click Save.

You can now print the file.
